Indiana Emergency Dental

For reference I have had a life of fairly problem free teeth. I had a beautiful pediatric dentist in California named Charles Spitz (real name) until I was a married adult. I had 1 cavity in High school, no braces, naturally straight teeth. I had a cracked tooth in my 30's that I got a crown for and deeply regret from a dentist in New Mexico which began my dentist avoidance. Since then if my teeth don't bother me, I don't bother them. I get a check up, x ray and cleaning about once every 5-10 years. The result is usually a clean report and a shocked dentist. That lasted until about 2 years ago we got dental insurance for a hot second and thought we should take advantage of it while it lasted. I went to Epler Park dentistry with no pain or problems and emerged with misery. The dentist, who barely mutters any discernible words said 3 of my wisdom teeth had cavities and drilled and filled them. When I came back a month later he tried to pull a tooth without even communicating that was what he was about to do. I left before he could numb me. So I've babied one side for 2 years fairly successfully until last Sunday when a pain I've never experienced began. I got into a new dentist by Thursday who referred me to an oral surgeon for extraction of the wisdom tooth that had been drilled and filled badly by Epler Park. But the wait was a week or 2 out. By Friday night I hadn't slept in days and was desperate. But the anxiety of having a tooth pulled was prohibitive. I researched all I could about the emergency dentists in Indianapolis and finally called Friday evening and got an appointment for Saturday morning. I thought I could at least get a second opinion and see if extraction was the right move. Everyone was kind and communicative. Dr Duffy was more thorough in his diagnostic than all previous adult dentists I've seen combined. His team adjusted to my anxiety at every turn. In the end, I arrived at 10am and walked out by 1:00pm. I received a thorough exam, x rays, an attempt at nitrous oxide for my anxiety which I did not tolerate well, a painless cleaning, and an unsettling but painless extraction of 1 wisdom tooth all for $700. That price was, significantly, less expensive and faster than the oral surgeon. So they have restored my faith and will happily go back for regular cleanings.

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr. Garry and his staff today. I went in at opening time (8 AM) and did the check in on a tablet, super easy and quick. I was called back not too long after that and had the xray done and was put in the exam room. I needed 2 fillings and a wisdom tooth extraction. I was so nervous and the assistant was so kind and encouraging. Dr. Garry was very sweet and funny and explained what he was doing as he was about to do it. I was very impressed with this whole experience today. 10/10, highly recommend. They even offered for me to come back for an exam and cleaning if I wanted as I'm not exactly seeing anyone for routine dental care. I was nervous but I felt comfortable the whole time thanks to these amazing people today. God bless you all 😊 P.S, we left at around 10 AM or so!

If you're looking for a new dentist I highly recommend indiana emergancy dental. Dr. Duffy has been the most patient and understanding doctor I've ever had. He has put up with my tears and anxiety. And the staff is always friendly and helpful and make you feel welcomed. It took me over 10 years to find a dentist that understands my needs and and doesn't pressure procedures and doesnt make me feel bad about teeth problems. Take a chance and try this place. I guarantee you won't regret it.

I had a broken tooth that needed to be extracted and Dr. Gerry did the extraction. He and the staff was very pleasant and answered any question I did have. The price was very fair as I didnt have dental insurance at the time. The Dr. did a great job ensuring that I was comfortable before starting the extraction and that no pain would be felt. I drove over an hour to have this done as all my local dentist couldnt get me in in a reasonable time frame.

I’ve always been scared of the dentist and have never had great experiences. That was until I was cared for by Dr. Gary and his team. I called on a Sunday morning because I had an infection and was experiencing a lot of pain. They were extremely kind on the phone and were able to get me in same day. Once I arrived the check in process was fast and smooth. The receptionist was also very nice. The atmosphere was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. I wasn’t in the waiting room more than ten minutes before being called back. Hana was so amazing, talking me through my options and every step. She even played music that I loved that helped my anxiety and held my hand during extraction. Dr. Gary.. I have never had any doctor be so kind and gentle. I walked in with intense pain and he not only numbed me with very little discomfort (which has never happened, it always hurts BAD) but afterwards I almost had immediate relief. He communicated every step and was overall just great. Even though it’s a long drive I will be returning for any of my future dental needs!
