Calming Influence

Ive been getting massages for 10yrs. I wanted to try Calming Influence after seeing it across from an established I was walking out of. I was a little skeptical of the exterior however I was impressed by the reviews and wanted to give it a try. I was pleased with the interior decor and looked forward to the massage services as I've been in alot of pain and my former masseuse had to cancel. Felt like this was a divine moment. Although my initial appt was pushed back I still looked forward to the experience. Sadly I was a little disappointed to know my appt was then pushed back for a 2nd time. Upon my arrival although I was informed my masseuse was setting up, she was actually rushing through the front door at my appt time. Immediate thought was anxious energy in a relaxed environment. Still optimistic I waited on her to set up. I didnt get on the table until about 10min after my appt time. Im in a customer service based business so I get how life can life. While staying understanding and patience I noticed she was not prepared for the session. She had to leave a few times to gather her supplies. Asked how long was my session and had to confirm what service I was getting. To top thinga off the massage felt rushed. I found myself on alert rather than a relaxed state. Mid way through session she had to step out...again...this has never happened in my 10yrs of getting massage. I hoped I would get the full 90 min massage I paid for however as I expected it ended early although it started late and there were quite a few in/outside during my session. I would try this place again to see if the experience is different based on the reviews but I would request a different masseuse.

My prenatal massage with Nadia was amazing! She really helped relieve the tension off of my body due to my pregnancy aches and had me very relaxed to the point that I almost fell asleep! Booking with these ladies was very easy and professional and I loved the office set up. I will definitely be rebooking again before I have my baby!

Booked a massage here for my fiancée and I. My masseuse Kayla was fantastic. However my fiancée’s masseuse, Jamia, was the one who took the remaining payment at the end. The massage was already $190 and when she asked if I wanted to leave a tip, the options jumped straight to $40+. And of course she asked when my masseuse was standing right there so of course I felt pressured. We were visiting from out of state and had other things planned as well. From my experience, you do not ask for a tip. You allow the customer to leave one if they choose to do so. I paid for the service in full so why should i still need to leave a tip?

Received the ultimate calm spa package. It was very relaxing! Jamia was fantastic in every way. Will definitely return.

I’ve been wanting to book here for while because of all the great reviews. I finally called today to schedule a couples massage for tomorrow. I was informed that there is a mandatory 50% deposit, which I understand. The total was $210, and the deposit was quoted as $110—still no issue there. However, the deposit is only refundable if you cancel within 24 hours. Since I was booking for the next morning, that meant I would automatically lose my deposit no matter what. That part didn’t sit right with me. Since the pandemic, it seems like everyone requires deposits now, and I typically avoid services that require them unless it’s for something major like living quarters or vehicle. In my opinion, when it’s less than 24 hours, the deposit requirement should be waived, and same-day/next-day appointments should be Walk-in only. Because of that, I chose not to book. For those businesses who are still charging a deposit for sameday and next day appointments needs to ✋️ stop; You purposely ripping off your current and future clients bc we are already passed the refundable 24hour time. The way my life set up, any emergency could happen. You'll be surprise at how your business would increase for Waived Deposits on same day and next day walk-ins, try it! Not that hard. I'm sure yall can figure out how to smoothly run that perk promotion, I'm sure! Anyway, COULD have been 210 dollars richer tomorrow, but I cant donate my money like that. Plus it's 50%??? 😮oh Nope, nawl! Maybe next time 😆
