Online scheduling was easy. I was able to find an appointment at the location nearest my home. The check in process at the office was quick. Being my first visit I did have extra paperwork to fill out. The entire exam process was explained to me before it began as well as explained along the way. It was a great first experience at a dermatologist office.

I had an wonderful experience with Dr. Yasmine Humeda and the staff. Dr. Humeda's medical assistance was amazing. She's funny and very caring. She understood my feelings about KLARA. Thank you all for making me feel comfortable at my very first appointment.

The NP Mellisa and Nurse Jenna were so good with my daughter! She is struggling with bad acne and they had great solutions to offer and good advice. They really took the time to get to know her and answer all questions. She also had to have some warts froze off and made that experience as painless as possible! I would highly recommend them for your dermatologist.

Stopped by this office today to pick up medication samples that my provider had left for me from another location. Upon arrival, the front desk staff member, later identified as Sydney, did not make eye contact or greet me. I explained that I was there to pick up samples, and she began searching through drawers. I told her the medication name, after which she got up to check the refrigerator. Before she walked away, I informed her that there was a clipboard on the counter containing completed patient information. She responded with a simple “ok” but took no action to secure it. The clipboard contained highly sensitive patient data, including first and last names, Social Security numbers, phone numbers, and emergency contact information. She was gone long enough that I could have reviewed every document on the clipboard. While waiting, another staff member placed an additional clipboard on the desk (upside down) and told me someone would be with me shortly. She then asked if I was returning the clipboard. I clarified that it was not mine and that I had already alerted the front desk staff that it was sitting there. She apologized, took the clipboard, and placed it upside down on top of the other one. When Sydney returned, she stated she could not find the samples and that I would need to come back another time. At that point, she turned both clipboards back over so the patient information was visible again and moved them to the edge of the counter where other patients were actively checking in, leaving all private information fully exposed. She then told me she needed to email the other office to confirm what I was picking up. I again provided the medication name, quantity, and where the samples were located. She insisted I would need to confirm this myself and come back later, which was not an option for me. I called the other office directly and asked for her name so I could explain to them that she was having difficulty locating the samples. She responded by asking, “Why do you need that?”—a situation that could have been avoided entirely had she been wearing a name badge or made the phone call herself, which should have been done initially instead of sending an email. The staff at the other office immediately confirmed everything I had already told her. Sydney then stated, “I promise I looked and they’re not in the fridge,” walked away, and returned a minute or two later with the samples in hand. Throughout this entire interaction, there was zero eye contact, no apology for the inconvenience or confusion, and repeated, blatant disregard for patient privacy and HIPAA protections that every patient is entitled to expect in a medical office.
