Holistix Massage

I had a one-hour deep tissue massage at Holistics Massage and it was both incredible and unexpectedly hilarious—in the best way. My therapist was small but mighty and somehow managed to get deep into the joints of my shoulder blades and neck in a way that actually worked. I’m not entirely sure what techniques she used—palms, forearms, maybe some kind of magic—but I could absolutely feel it, and it felt amazing. She found every single knot in my back and worked them out. At one point the pressure became a bit too intense and crossed from “hurts so good” into just “hurts,” and when I told her, she immediately adjusted and became more gentle, which I really appreciated. She also spent a lot of time on my hips and lower lumbar (much needed) and did an excellent job on my thighs and legs. There were a few moments where she lightly smacked my back—not hard, just enough to make me laugh. I’m guessing it was for blood flow? I’m not a massage expert, but it was hard not to giggle. The head massage at the end was also hilarious in a way that’s hard to describe, but honestly, it just added to the experience. Overall, this was a very effective, thorough deep tissue massage. My back felt worked on in the best way, and I left feeling like every knot had been addressed. I’d definitely come back.

Visiting my mom in Tucson and she booked us a mother-daughter massage for us in tandem. The business calls you to confirm your appointment and any details before arriving, and they were also able to take us a bit earlier than our planned time (please do not make assumptions that this is for everyone as this was on Super Bowl Sunday so business was slower). The two ladies that took care of us were PHENOMENAL! Extremely professional, made sure we were comfortable the entire time and would check in on your pain level if they worked on a particularly harsh knot, provided excellent stretches on the limbs, and promoted circulation expertly. These ladies are angels! Bonus: they carefully wipe off any oil used so you will not walk out needing a shower! Love these ladies! Can you expand to Spokane? Please???

Might be the only time I've ever: 1) Had a shoulder/neck massage that spent the entire time on my lower and mid back and didn't address my shoulders or neck whatsoever 2) Had a second person walk into the room while I was getting a massage 3) Seen 30% offered as the lowest tip amount. I'm not too picky with massages but it was just okay and also not even the type of massage I signed up for. Glad I only had a short session or I'd be a lot more bitter about it.
