I had a hair transplant with Dr. Plaman over 3 1/2 years ago now, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Dr. Plaman and his staff were all very professional and knowledgable. I think what I like most about the experience with Dr. Plaman was how he gave me multiple options while also providing me with realistic results. For context, I come from a family where all of the men are Norwood 6 or 7, my hairline began to recede at 18, and was Norwood 3-4 at the time of my transplant. We decided on a conservative number of grafts and to focus on just filling in where was needed for the moment, knowing that even with Finasteride and Minoxidil I might need another transplant in the future. However, 3 1/2 years post surgery I feel that the non-transplanted area is holding strong and hopefully will continue to do so. ;) I had been thinking about getting a transplant in Turkey to save cost, but I was worried about aftercare so I decided to do it with Dr. Plaman while I was living in Albuquerque. Shortly after, I moved to Germany where hair transplants are more common. I've noticed I can immediately tell if somebody went to turkey for a transplant. The result looks somewhat unnatural because their hairline is too straight or the follicles have been arranged like rows of corn. I believe that Dr. Plaman and his team did a wonderful job at providing the most natural looking result possible. Since my transplant I have never had anyone ask if I ask if I had a transplant (other than friends and family who knew what I looked like before the transplant) and when I tell people they are shocked. If I ever feel that I need another hair transplant for the crown area I will definitely be giving Dr. Plaman a call. Although there might be enticing cheaper options in Mexico or Turkey, the quality result speaks for itself and is well worth the price. Before the transplant I wore a hart for almost every picture to hide my hairline, but now I hardly ever wear hats!
