Shelby has been doing my brows for over 6 years! I receive soo many compliments about the shape and color of my brows even when I am traveling-I cannot say enough about the quality and professionalism of Shelby's work! So very glad I found her!

I wrote this review for Shelby at House of Shelby four years ago and (shame on me!) I never posted it: "When I read that actress Helen Mirren had her eyebrows microbladed at age 72 (and loved the results!) I decided to look into it. At age 71, I was tired of my thin, almost non-existent eyebrows and wanted to look better! After much research and reading many reviews, I chose Shelby Hohsfield, Owner of House of Shelby. She has been in the lash and brow industry for more than 15 years and teaches microblading to other professionals. Shelby has outstanding reviews for her work and provides a step-by-step demo video on her website which I found very helpful. I had my first appointment with Shelby at her beautiful, intimate Shelby at Home Gallery in Corrales. I was more than a little nervous about undertaking this procedure but knew instantly when I met Shelby that I had picked the right person! Not only is she a lovely, welcoming person who put me immediately at ease but it was clear from the start that she is a skilled artist and professional who knows exactly what she is doing! She listened carefully and immediately understood the outcome I was looking for. This procedure was not painful for me in the least and the healing process was easy. I carefully followed Shelby’s aftercare instructions and was prepared for how dark my brows would appear on the second day. Just as Shelby promised, my brows soon lightened to the perfect shade for my coloring and age, subtle and natural looking, just as I had hoped! I was so happy with my results that I would not have been disappointed if there was no improvement after my touch-up appointment two weeks later. However, my brows got even better and more beautiful after the second visit! So Ladies, if you are an older woman, like me, don’t hesitate to look into microblading! Shelby has microbladed many older womens’ brows and age doesn’t matter. I asked Shelby what type of client she most liked to work with and she said “happy” which was adorable. I am beyond happy with my results and would give Shelby a higher than a 5-Star rating if I could!" Fast forward to 2025 and my second '10-17 month touch-up' at Shelby's Lorenco's location in Albuquerque: once again, an easy, pleasant and first-rate experience from start to finish with results that are perfect in every way!

House of Shelby is amazing! Shelby takes the time to understand what you are wanting to get done and then reviews all options with you. When she is finished she allows you the time to review the final product and will always make any necessary adjustments as requested. If you're not happy, she's not happy. I've been going to her for over 2 years now for microblading and shading and am extremely happy each time! She also responds to both calls and messages very quickly. She is also very sweet and makes your experience very comfortable through conversations and keeping her shop very clean and well maintained.

Shelby is truly an artist! I LOVE how my brows look. Shelby gets 5 stars in my book. Her salon is super clean, and she is very meticulous and precise. If you’re looking for the best place in town for your brows, look no further. House of Shelby is hands down the place to go. 👍🏻💃🏻Her excellent work and happy clients are the proof that she is AMAZINGLY talented, and easily one of the greatest permanent make up artists around. 😁

I had a wonderful microblading session with Shelby. She is a true artist who took the time to explain everything to me & ask my input. She also gave detailed instructions on aftercare which have been very valuable as I go through the healing process. I am super happy with my new brows. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while & going to Shelby at her lovely salon did not disappoint. Thanks for a lovely experience, Shelby.
