Southern Pain Specialists

Two years ago my 30yr pain management doctor retired and I was left scrambling to find another doctor who would see me & treat my particular issues (that’s not easy this day & time). I was fortunate enough to find Dr. Varley with Southern Pain Specialist; he is so caring (just like my old doctor) and even has more equipment plus some newer treatments that many pain management docs don’t offer. Another pleasant surprise is that some of the services I previously had to pay for out of pocket at my old doc (like anesthesia, I assume because SPS has their own Anesthesiologist who is also very nice & caring) is submitted by the billing staff & covered by my insurance!! Everyone at Southern Pain Specialist is extremely nice & caring, they get patients taken care of quickly, efficiently & effectively (anyone with chronic pain knows how tough it is to sit and wait for hours; there’s usually only a short wait if any at this office). They will go above & beyond to make sure patients are comfortable during treatments & as I’ve mentioned already Dr. Varley is a sincerely caring sweetheart of a Doctor (like my old doc); I could not have been more Blessed to find Southern Pain Specialist; the two hour drive is worth making to get great pain management care. Dr Varley is great he listens to me and genuinely wants to help with my pain. The staff is wonderful everyone there are so easy to talk to they are great listeners as well. I am a horrible stick and they get me first try and if you are a hard IV stick you know the value in that!

If you ever want to be treated like family and have customer service and support from the front door all the way through the process. This is definitely the place that can get you taken care of. I was blown away from the sincere service shown from each team member. I will definitely tell my family and friends about the service and treatment I received. 🏆

Dr Varley and his staff are awesome. They have been helping me stay out of pain over 15 years. They are thorough and do a great job finding the cause of your back pain. Everyone in the office treats you like family and the nurses are outstanding. Dr Varley will explain what you got going on and what’s the best course of action to take. I definitely feel better every-time I leave.

Dr Varley is great. He keeps you very informed and takes time to review your treatment every time you visit. He talks in depth about options with me. His staff is polite, friendly, and efficient. Making sure I'm comfortable and informed.
