Osaka Wellness Massage

Took a chance on a walk-in on a cold winter morning, and was greeted promptly by Linda. I don’t speak Japanese, though it was easy to confirm what I wanted by pointing to “90 minute massage” from the list of services on the wall. I’d been delayed in town for three days due to weather and was just looking to relax. I paid, and was led back to a very warm room (though smaller than most) where the only question was “medium or hard?” before she set to work. What followed was a delightful blend of gentle skin massage and medium muscle work. The session went the full 90 minutes and there was no hassle about a tip (which she certainly earned and I handed to her on the way out.) I see the reviews here are either “love it” or “hate it”, all I can suggest is that given how vulnerable you are, it could be a daunting experience for a first professional massage. I loved it, especially compared to the colder, more sterile Massage Envy environment I’ve frequented at home.

Was hoping to get a couples massage when we went in. For starters they asked if we wanted to be in the same room with each other, we said yes. We had called ahead and were supposed to have an appointment where we already said we wanted to be together. On the phone I spoke to someone in English and didn't think there would be any problems. No one spoke english when we got there, and they didnt seem to have our appt set. I made sure we had called the right number so I dont understand what even happened there. These questions were asked through a translation app for context. One of the workers came back and asked again so we thought they didn't have enough room and agreed. They put us in separate rooms and neither of us had a consistent experience. My wife wanted to keep her underwear on and they told her she needed to take it off. She did thinking with the sheet it would be alright but when starting her massage they completely took the sheet off so she was very uncomfortable. At one point the worker left the room without saying anything and left the door half open while the sheet was off. The room was near the entrance and it would have been very easy for someone to see her. After my wife pointed and asked her to keep the door shut she did but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Both workers were on their phones very obviously texting but when you're naked laying face down you get weirded out about someone having their phone out worrying if theres anything else fishy happening, let alone the fact that they are distracted and not massaging well. The woman doing my massage used hardly any pressure or effort, it was a light rub at best. I didnt feel like it made any difference at all physically and overall I felt worse leaving than when I walked in. My wife said the massage was very uneven and inconsistent. They got oil in her hair, then covered her head with the sheet that was supposed to be on her body. Neither of us had a massage before so it was very disorienting and we were trying to be calm and not cause any issues because maybe we just didn't understand. My wife was very nervous about all of it and didn't feel like she could say much because they wouldn't understand. As we were heading to the door to leave they stopped and asked for a tip. We paid the regular price at the beginning, and don't know what's customary for tipping in this situation. My wife was so overwhelmed she just grabbed whatever cash was in her wallet and handed it to them so we could get out without any more issues. It wasn't worth any of the money. Wouldn't recommend at all. This place should be out of business.

Walked in & i have no complaints, she did a great job & was very nice. Definitely a language barrier but I just wanted a massage & thats exactly what I got & I appreciate they're time & did a wonderful job. Thank you!

I have plenty of massages and by far this is at the bottom of my list amd will not return. I had to prepay and then they tried to get me to pay again, what.....Be careful who you get if you decide to go, I won't be back. Be warned!

Paid for a 90 minute couples massage, which them made me prepay. We didn’t even get a full 60 minutes, and the website said the couples massage was in the same room, but they separated us anyways. I was then guilted into tipping after our massages were cut 30 minutes short. Very sketchy environment, DO NOT GO!
