I recently visited Luxe for the "botox" special that I saw on Facebook/Instagram. I live in Madison so I figured since I was due (I go every 3-4 months) I would try them out. I walked in at my appointment time and the front desk looked at me like "what do you need" and did not greet me. I said my name and my appointment time. They told me to be seated and someone would be with me shortly. I sat for less than 5 minutes then the nurse practitioner got me back into a treatment room. She asked "have I done your botox before?" I told her no that I was a new patient. And she said "I couldn't remember because I see so many people." She then asked when my last tox appointment was and told me the 2 options that they had. She said they have Daxxify and a new Korean kind called Letybo. She acted like I had an option but then stated "I want to try Letybo on you." She stated that all nurotoxins were pretty much the same, just labeled under different brands. She then proceeds to inject without wiping my forehead with an alcohol gauze first. It was also the most painful injection I have ever had. She did however wipe my forehead with alcohol after the injections. I'm 4 days post op and my forehead is still tender to the touch when I press on the spots that were injected. I know it takes 2 full weeks to see optimum results but I can already tell Letybo doesn't work as well as other neurotoxins I have had in the past. I will not be back. Just wanted to warn others before they try to take advantage of the "specials" found on social media.

I thoroughly enjoyed my facial with Kaylee. It was the best that I’ve had. She was sweet and very knowledgeable about different skin care products that fit my needs. The clinic itself is beautiful and I felt very relaxed as soon as I walked in. All staff members were welcoming/friendly. Teresa, The Owner of LUXE Wellness and Aesthetics—Madison, is awesome, caring, and professional. I can’t wait to visit again and experience more of their wonderful services.

My first appointment was for their “micro-needling special” they advertised on Facebook and Instagram. I have had professional micro-needling done at other medical spas with Skin Pen for over a decade, and this experience was beyond subpar to any other time I have had it done at any other spa. The aesthetician barely used any pressure during the service, and when I left, my face was not even red. She didn’t use numbing cream either, and I feel like if the treatment is done correctly, numbing cream is needed to alleviate the discomfort (I have a high pain tolerance and didn’t need the numbing cream, it’s just the fact that they perform the service so lightly that you don’t even need cream). She also wanted to add an up-charge to use “salmon sperm” or some other type of exosome with the microneedling that would be like another $200. I definitely said no to that, because how do I even know that’s actually what would be put on my face? It just felt like another money grab. This is not a dig to the aesthetician on a personal level (she was super friendly & kind), but to the quality of the service I received. My second appointment was for their “cryo-slimming special” that was also advertised on social media. They brought in a traveling rep for the cryo-slimming device named “Tyasia”. She was very bubbly and had a great personality, so I thought this would go really well. She started out by measuring my waist to get a before measurement to see how many inches I lost during my treatment. I was flabbergasted when she said “you have a 53 inch waist.” For reference, I am a petite 5’3” tall woman and wear a size 4, but would have to be shaped like a bowling pin for that measurement to be accurate. I said “ma’am that cannot be right.“ She said “yes it is, it says 53 inches right here.” I asked her to please do the measurement again. She remeasured and said “oh, now it is saying 25.5 inches, my mistake”. That is a HUGE mistake. Was she measuring on the wrong side of the measuring tape? Centimeters, maybe? The use of a measuring tape is a very basic skill that I would think would need to be mastered before calling yourself a “cryo-slimming tech”. I knew 25.5 inches wasn’t correct either because I had measured myself prior to my appointment and my waist was 35 inches. I just let it go at that point because I was not going to argue with her. After the treatment, she did a 3rd measurement to show me how many inches I had lost, and said “oh, wow, you are down to 20.5 inches now!” Like I am really supposed to believe I lost 5 inches in a 30 minute treatment. 20 inches is like the size of a 5-year-old‘s waist! By this point I am ready to just get the heck out of there because I could tell this woman had no idea what she was doing. I got home and remeasured just for my knowledge, and again I still had a 35 inch waist. The biggest issue I had during this appointment, though, was the two nurses that came in and out of my treatment room 3 different times going through cabinets, and acting like they were looking for stuff. I had my pants pulled down to my groin area for the treatment and my shirt was pulled all the way up to right under my breasts, and I wanted privacy in there. I went to high school with one of the nurses (Allie) that kept coming in the room, and felt like she was just looking to see what I was having done. No one should have been coming in and out of that room while I was having my treatment done. Would they do the same to someone that was having a relaxing massage? I felt that was extremely unprofessional and would have never happened at any of the other real medi-spas I have been to. So the whole cryo-slimming appointment just felt like a big joke and like Tyasia was just throwing numbers out there to try to act like this machine was going to really work. After the appt., she was trying to push me to buy a cryo-slimming package, a 10 pack for stomach + arms for $2,299! I about died when she told me the cost. I don’t know anyone in their right mind that would pay that amount of money after the experience I just had.
