What an amazing experience. The entire staff is outstanding. I felt welcome as soon as I walked in the door. This was my first visit to Aspen Dental, Lexington, Ky, and I highly recommend them. I went to have a broken molar fixed and they worked me right in and took care of the problem. Everything was explained so clearly that my treatment decision was simple. Again, I can’t recommend them highly enough. Definitely 5 star, and more stars if I could. Thank you.

I had an emergency, my crown broke off. I went to see them. They were able to get me in. They took me back did x rays, a dental exam, and then the Dr came in to see me. Told me what needed to be done, got a dental plan together, then I went up front to schedule what I needed and get the cost of it all. I was then informed, after already being there for almost 2 hours, that they were out of my network, could not use my insurance, but they would give me a discount. It was 29.00 it of pocket for them to do nothing(I had even asked the dentist if he could do something with the sharp part of the tooth that broke, he said yes, he could file it down, but ended up not even doing that. ) went on to the next patient. After paying the 29.00 i was told to get any thing else done that it would cost 6,500.00 And that does bout include the cost of the endodontist that they were going to send me to, before they even started on their end. Who sees a patient out of network without telling them, beforehand, and discuss pricing, beforehand? Then to add insult to injury they just threw my 1800.00 crown in the trash, right before my eyes. In my opinion that is poor service and inconsiderate.

I broke a tooth last week, and even being a new patient, they got me in right away. Every person I had an interaction with treated me as if I were the only patient in the facility. Plus, Dr Young was amazing. If you need dental work, Aspen is the only Practice you need to visit!!! Highly recommend them!

So-called doctor Ruth Adkins is a maniac And so is her hygienist. I was greeted with an attitude by the hygienist, and I left soaking wet due to the incompetence of Ruth Adkins and her hygienist who has 30 years of So-called experience. I told the hygienist that she was hurting my mouth during the x-ray and that pissed her off. The rest of the appointment was terrible. She went next-door and spoke to another hygienist who was with a patient, that I was complaining that she was hurting me. I was quiet. I was calm and I just told her ouch that’s painful. She did not like that. Then she comes back into the room and puts the bib on me (I just wanted to be finished, I should have left then)and went to do the water tool in my mouth. She Is not paying attention to what she’s doing because she’s so angry that I told her that she’s hurting me so she wet the entire back of my shirt into my underwear and then told me it was my fault. At that point I finally got up and left. I said I’m going get up and I’m going leave so I got up and I left and as I was leaving the receptionist asked me what happened and I told her what happened. Dr. Ruth Atkins came out of her office or wherever she was. Ruth did not hear anything of my side of what happened and came out and started yelling at me. I’m an adult. This grown woman came out and started berating me. I called the police. I wanted to file a complaint against them for wetting my property. (Can’t do that, by the way) Ruth kept a condescending tone telling me it’s just water and she has 30 years of experience, but my shirt is wet so where is her experience? I’ve been to the dentist tons of times in the last how many decades and I have never left with a wet shirt. I have never had a hygienist getting mad at me because she was hurting me. I would not go there if I were you, I would never ever set foot in this place. And then the police trespass me as if they were doing me a disservice! Yes, by the way being trespassed can be a mutual thing. I don’t want go there and they don’t want me to come back there and I agree because why would I ever want to come back here. This is my only day off. I have a ton of errands to run and now I am soaking wet. I recorded the entire incident. Dr. Ruth Atkins came out into the lobby and involved other patients that were sitting there waiting for a service that heard the entire situation. She accused me of creating a disturbance in her practice but the only people that were screaming and being rude was Dr. Atkins in her hygienist that’s it I asked them if they were treating me so badly because of the color of my skin because I cannot figure out why they were being so rude. Some people are just bad people I came to the dentist expecting humanity and decency. No one should be treated the way that I was treated just now. I live with morals, when you’re wrong. You should say you’re wrong. Take responsibility. This is your business. Speak to your staff. You do not take your staff’s incompetence out on a patient. So, if you want decency, I would recommend that you don’t go to mediocre Ruth. They are horrible people. Not the receptionist she’s a sweetheart, and she should find another job. She knows that what they did was wrong. She is the only one with any humanity and decency at this practice and And so-called Dr. Ruth Adkins does not deserve her. I cannot believe how incompetent and the irresponsible Ruth really is. They should be ashamed of themselves and embarrassed. People trust you to provide a Service. I filled a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Oh and by the way they have Better Business Bureau on their wall, but when you search on the website, they are not in accredited business and they already have a complaint against them in the system. Just FYI.

Mya and the entire staff have exceptional customer service. They make you feel like you matter and not like you are just a number or money pot. The hygienist and dentist were informative and they calmed my jitters. In all my years I have never had a better experience in any medical office, let alone a dentist's office. I wish that I could remember all of the staff's names in order to give the proper recognition to each individual. If you have fear or any type of anxiety when it comes dental visits, I suggest you go to Aspen Dental on Nicholasville Rd. You will not be disappointed!
