Glen Lake Dental: Danielle Leonardi, DMD

All the staff are kind and welcoming (I’m a new patient at this dental office). Dr. Leonardi is excellent and genuinely caring and thoughtful about my dental situation. I’m hopeful and excited for the work that will be done!

I was very disappointed with my experience at this dental office. I initially scheduled an appointment because the permanent retainer bar behind my bottom teeth had come loose and was poking my tongue, and I also wanted a routine cleaning. Instead of addressing the issue, I was required to complete a 90-minute consultation before any treatment could be done. During that consultation, the focus felt very sales-driven. I was told I needed X-rays at a second appointment four weeks later, despite having had X-rays taken just three months earlier at my previous dentist (who had retired unexpectedly, which prevented me from having the retainer fixed sooner). When I returned for the X-rays, I was then advised to consider replacing all of my existing fillings with caps, which felt unnecessary and excessive. It wasn’t until my third visit that the loose retainer bar was finally removed, yet I was informed that the cleaning would require a fourth visit. At that point, I chose not to return. The entire process felt fragmented and designed to stretch treatment across multiple appointments, rather than addressing my actual concern in a timely manner. Overall, it came across as overly sales-oriented rather than patient-focused. I chose another dentist shortly after and have contacted them 3 times to send over my X-rays, which they’ve yet to reply back or send the X-rays. All together, it was a really poor experience.
