I came in on the cruise ship and booked a 90 minute massage with Kaitlen. She is an extraordinary talent. I’ve had regular massages for years, mostly in Houston Texas. But I prefer doing massages on shore rather than on the cruise ship where they’re very expensive and the qualities is not always the best. Kaitlen told me she graduated in Massage about 13 years ago and has been doing it ever since in various locations. We discussed what I wanted which was a sport massage to really get into the muscles. She was amazing. It’s like her fingers could instantly figure out the anatomy of muscles and tendons and joints. Her movements were slow but steady with pressure I adjusted to the maximum I could handle. I could feel her hand slowly sliding down individual muscles and tendons and stopping if they’ve got to an adhesion. I can’t recall ever having a masseuse as skilled as she was. It was also very relaxing, even though that may sound contradictory. But a good massage is like that. If you’re in Portland, Maine, Arcana is the place to go and try and get Kaitlen and you will not regret it.

I absolutely love coming here! My massage therapist Bel is truly wonderful; she’s one of the best! She is so sweet and genuinely listens to me about where my tension is, then works exactly where I need it. Every session leaves me feeling relaxed, cared for, and so much better than when I arrived. She does an amazing job, and I can’t recommend her highly enough!

I had a wonderful hot stone massage done by Kaitlen and my life has been changed for the better! She knew exactly how to address my problem areas and made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Highly recommend receiving a service here or just coming into the shop! The front-desk staff is also super friendly and it smells amazing in there. Will be back! ❤️

My husband and I were looking to get away for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We wanted to start off with a nice relaxing massage. Arcana has a warm, welcoming and calming atmosphere. Bel was amazing. My hips and shoulders were so tight and contracted but her techniques were firm soothing and released so much built up tension. I came out feeling so energized but relaxed. An overall calming feeling stayed with me the rest of the day. Their store has lots to look at and purchase. I highly recommend booking your session. I wandered in on a recommendation from a friend of the owners. After browsing around I met a kind massage therapist. She had immediate availability...so I decided to schedule a 90 minute deep tissue massage with Kaitlen. I have received many really good massages throughout the years and this was truly one of the best ever. I hope I get an opportunity to visit Portland and schedule with Kaitlen again! Great store as well! Variety of wonderful items.
