Akari

I had a massage with Anna last Friday after a long break. She is the best! It was such a pleasure. I walked away feeling so much lighter, and my body felt amazing. I won't stay away so long this time. Hurry in for a great experience.

Let me start off by saying I have been getting my hair done at Akari for over 20 years. The service has been going drastically downhill in the last year. Most recently my sons caught Whooping cough the day before my foil appointment. The doctors office posted with the test results late Monday when Akari was closed. I called early Tuesday morning at 7:30 left a voicemail and also text explaining that the CDC stated that there is a whooping cough outbreak going on at the kids school. The kids were home from school for 5 days and everyone has to take antibiotics in the house. Akari acknowledged the message and then to my surprise texted me multiple times at 7:30 pm that I needed to pay a $128.50 tip to my colorist. So let me get this straight, I am supposed to come and get my hair colored and expose everybody to a virus that kills children and or put them in the hospital. Way to go Akari! That is actually quite responsible on your part… the most shocking part is my colorist has a very young child who is exactly who the CDC is trying to protect.

Christine is an amazing hair stylist. Very intuitive, picked up on my (somewhat disorganized) account of what I wanted for my hair - and created a style that is perfect for my hair, personality and lifestyle. I am going to stick with her for as long as she practices her craft!

Akari - Simply the Best in New England! I cannot recommend Akari enough – it's truly the best spa I've ever visited in New England! I've had the pleasure of visiting twice, and each experience was absolutely fantastic. My first visit was a full day of pampering, and it was pure bliss. The day was packed with amazing spa procedures, including a rejuvenating massage, a refreshing facial, and perfectly done manicures and pedicures. To top it all off, a delicious lunch was provided, and we enjoyed wine throughout the day. It was an incredibly relaxing and luxurious experience. My second visit was a half-day trip with a friend, and once again, we were both incredibly impressed. The care and attention we received were exceptional, making us feel completely spoiled and refreshed. Both times, my friend and I left feeling incredibly satisfied with the high level of service and personal care. If you're looking for an outstanding spa experience with top-notch treatments and incredible attention to detail, Akari Spa is the place to go. Highly, highly recommend!

Akari was a fantastic choice for my wedding makeup. They were professional, responsive leading up to the date, and absolutely fabulous to work with. The stylists who came to my venue the day of were so responsive to each girl's individual style and vision. During my makeup, my stylist stopped at every point to make sure I was 100% happy. He knew how to create what I wanted and elevate it for my wedding day. They were receptive to changes and absolutely a dream for my wedding day. Everyone looked so beautiful and not at all overdone. The photos are amazing, we look natural but shining. I am so happy I used Akari for my wedding makeup I highly suggest them for anyone else. I also did my hair and makeup with them for my rehearsal dinner and again, they were incredibly wonderful and my stylist completely understood what I was looking for and executed it perfectly. I would 100% use Akari again for any other event in Maine!
