The Joy Aesthetic

Joy is not only a talented professional but also an extremely caring person. I have mature skin and she listens to my needs and provides excellent recommendations and effective treatments. The atmosphere of her lovely space is relaxing and truly brings "Joy" to the experience. Definitely the best aesthetician I have been to; I love the outcome of the treatment plan she built specifically for my skin.

Joy is an absolute doll. She was incredibly attentive and made sure to explain the process before and during the facial, which I love. In the past I have had facials with other professionals where I felt the price was unreasonable for the service I ended up getting, however the Glass skin Hydrofacial feels like an absolute steal, especially considering the number of treatments, time, and general professionalism and cleanliness of the space. Joy is a gem, I highly recommend her!!

Every visit with Joy is a calming, tailor-made experience - she thoughtfully curates each treatment around your skin’s needs and always seems to know just what will make it glow. Her space is warm, inviting, and clean, and her gentle, genuine kindness elevates the entire appointment. Booked some appts for my partner and myself 2 weeks in advance. Mine was approved the same day but 5 days later my partner received an email saying there was a conflict for his which we assumed was based on the time slot. The only way of contact is to call and he left a voicemail. Another 2 days later we received a call back and were informed she does not normally do men for her safety and reputation and she was willing to if a spouse was also present. Unfortunately, this does not work for us as I am scheduled at work myself by that time. While I do understand business policies I do wish the communication would have been clear from up front she does not work on men’s skin without chaperones as I am now left with 5 days to find another hydrafacialist before our event. When booking the appts I explained in the description box it was for my bf so I do feel we could have been notified sooner. **Update in response to owner. Sending me a text after seeing this review, calling me an “anonymous keyboard warrior” instead of a professional phone call, again speaks for itself. As I clearly stated above, I have no qualms about your no men unchaperoned policy, this is about your communication. Waiting 5 days to reject an appt with no explanation given (after approving mine that same day), where we have to now get a hold of you, then another 2 days for you to call us back where you say, “How can I help you?” followed by a pause is strange. Acting as if you don’t know why you are calling him back? He left you a VM stating he was trying to get it rescheduled and upon my initial booking, in your appt description boxes, I clearly wrote out who the appts were for and why. That he had an important event where a photographer is being flown out to WY shoot him, and I was also interested in a skin consultation at my appt. If you did not receive that you need to check your software choice. To continue asking him on the phone where we are from, do we live here locally, and how we heard about you gives off the sense you are vetting us in some way. Telling us you understand if we just cancel all together denotes you aren’t offended if we do. Furthermore, looking him up on FB prior to calling us back, (yes, I was present when the accidental friend request came through) is again, strange behavior. I was hoping to support a woman owned business indeed, but it is no problem to move on from the incident. Letting people know my experience and your no men unchaperoned policy is what reviews are for.

I received a Korean Glass Skin Hydrafacial and it was amazing! Joy was so knowledgable of how each product would affect my skin. I walked away with skin feeling incredible and like I made a new friend! Highly recommend
