Dr. John Bocachica is a wonderful human. He has made my much-needed visits not only informative and helpful, but also genuinely comfortable. He is lighthearted and funny, and he creates a warm environment that takes away the nervousness that comes with dermatology appointments. He listens, validates your concerns, and explains your situation in plain language while developing a treatment plan that fits you and your needs. Most people don’t leave a doctor’s office smiling and laughing, but that has been my experience with him. Generally, you don’t walk into a medical office expecting to enjoy the visit, but once you meet Dr. B, he elevates your expectations of what a medical professional should be. He is the first and only dermatologist I will ever visit, and I highly recommend him.

I can say without a doubt that this was the best care that I have received in the years I have been in Alaska. I saw Sandra Mahoney, she made me feel comfortable and heard with my concerns about my health, which was super important to me. She was a great listener to my needs and was very knowledgeable with her feedback. The front desk was also very professional and kind. Overall, my experience was a positive one and I’m happy I chose Avante.

I see Danielle Kalbfleisch for nutrition and it has been so helpful. The appointments are very thorough and I leave feeling confident and knowledgeable with guidance and specific dietary plan for my needs and concerns. She answers every question I have, usually before I get to them! And I've never felt rushed.
