Afterglow

I have been going to Denise at Afterglow for the past six months, and I can't recommend her enough! Denise is very knowledgeable about skincare and what I appreciate is I can trust her recommendations. She took the time to listen to my concerns, and instead of pushing unnecessary treatments or products, she genuinely recommended what she thought would benefit me the most. I originally started going to Denise to prepare my skin for my 2025 wedding and she was upfront about the fact that skincare is a commitment. If I was serious about seeing results, she emphasized the importance of making regular appointments and sticking to a routine. Now after going for 6 months, I plan on continuing even after my wedding because I've come to enjoy it so much. The last thing I love is that Denise is a small business owner. I think it's so important to support local businesses, they're the people that make Providence so special and unique!

Denise is lovely and every time I leave my skin is glowing. I have been going to have a monthly facial for the last nine months and my skin has never looked better. Denise is flexible and does her best to accommodate last-minute schedule changes. She provides great feedback and treatment suggestions to enhance your skins end result.

I have been getting monthly facials at Afterglow since June, and to say my skin has TRANSFORMED would be an understatement. I stopped getting facials for a while after someone damaged my skin barrier. Months later, I booked a facial with Denise, who made my skin feel balanced and healthy after just one session. After that experience, I committed to getting a facial every four weeks, and my skin's improvement has been massive. Here are a couple of reasons why I love Denise: 1. Denise is super welcoming and knowledgeable. She makes it a point to understand your needs; you can tell she knows all things skin and has a lot of experience in the industry. 2. I personally need a lot of extractions. I had never had a facial where extractions were so central. Denise takes time around your skin, and you can feel it. I always leave Afterglow with clean and glowy skin, which feels fantastic the day after (no redness, no itching), as the extractions heal fast and leave no scarring. 3. Consistency is key. Denise won't sell you on a thousand treatments, but she will underline the need to be consistent with facials. She is right! 4. THE MASSAGE. During the facial, you will get a scalp and face massage that feels super calming and a shoulder massage with hot stones, which is fantastic. After trying many facials in Providence, I came to Denise and finally found what I was looking for! I recommend her facials to anyone looking to work on their skin consistently or for a special treat-yourself moment; whichever it is, you won't regret it.

I cannot rave enough about my experience with Denise! She is an absolute gem and is so warm and welcoming. I started getting facials in preparation for my wedding, but have continued to keep regular appointments afterwards because she's just that good. Denise really understands skin and what my individual skin needs. I really love how my skin looks and feels during and after treatments - she really makes me glow! Excellent facial! My "50-something" skin looks and feels fabulous. I just moved here and did a LOT of research on PVD/local spas before choosing Denise. It was so easy to book online and she followed up with a note to confirm. I appreciate that she has a holistic approach to skin health and aging. She's lovely and down to earth, and her space is clean, comfortable and super convenient. (Btw, she has gorgeous skin!). I am very particular about skincare products and Denise uses top notch lines that are clean and not loaded with junk ingredients and synthetic fragrances. Her expertise in skin health and skincare, and years of experience are evident. She begins with a new client questionnaire (it's on her website...print it and fill it out before you go!) and reviews details of your current skincare needs and general wellbeing. Then she tailors the facial to your particular needs. Cleansing, exfoliation, extraction, decadent masks and a relaxing hot stone massage. She also offers advanced treatments, but does not try to push or "sell" unnecessary services or products. She's gentle, but thorough, knows her stuff and offers the latest in technology and products. Five stars!
