My family and I have been going to Dr. Sweeney at Healthy Smiles of Delaware for nearly 17 years, and I truly can’t say enough great things about him and his team. Finding a good dentist can be so hard, but Dr. Sweeney is absolutely wonderful. My husband has always hated going to the dentist, yet he actually likes going to see Dr. Sweeney. Believe it or not, he was almost falling asleep while getting a filling because Dr. Sweeney is so gentle! He’s amazing with kids too. My son had to have a cavity filled and didn’t even realize when Dr. Sweeney started working on him. That level of care and patience means so much as a parent. Dr. Sweeney and his entire staff are incredibly personable. They remember your face, ask about your family, and always take the time to catch up. It truly feels like you’re visiting people who care about you, not just going to a dental appointment. Healthy Smiles of Delaware is such a welcoming, family-friendly practice. After 17 years, we wouldn’t trust our dental care to anyone else. Highly recommend!

Great ladies at the desk who always work with me on scheduling and rescheduling. Dr.Sweeney is awesome. I’m a frequent flyer here unfortunately with dentist anxiety but he is so gentle and caring. They are the only reason i can get what i need to get done.

I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Sweeney and his Healthy Smiles Team in Feb. 2024. When I came to the practice, he discovered I had a “failed” root canal, which had been overlooked by my former well-known, local dentist. Dr. Sweeney diagnosed my issue swiftly and put an effective plan in place to correct the problem. He is highly-educated, extremely skilled, very experienced, and gentle!! His staff is also well trained, very skilled, and very professional. They have the experience necessary to carry out my care plan. I required multiple visits over the past months as well as coordination with an orthodontist. Dr. Sweeney is up-to-date on current trends in dentistry as is evidenced by his modern methods, and the advanced technology used in the office. Dr. Sweeney values his patients’ safety and well being. He and his staff are professional, knowledgeable, and very pleasant. I saw Dr. Sweeney today as well as Kim and Maya, and his always happy receptionists. I am grateful for their efforts to restore my healthy and happy smile!

Dr. Sweeney is an exceptional dentist, highly skilled, compassionate, and truly dedicated to his patients. He takes the time to explain every procedure thoroughly and has always made me feel comfortable and reassured. When I broke a temporary crown, he personally answered my call after hours and met me the next morning, on a day the office was closed, to repair it. That level of care and dedication is rare these days. You can tell he truly cares about his patients and loves what he does. Highly recommend!

My experience was absolutely pleasant. My dental assistant was very personable and patient with me. The Dr was very friendly and explained every aspect of my dental treatment going forward. Definitely a positive experience.
