Remedy Spa West

So this spa is very nice and clean and the staff are nice but unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience. My massage consisted of zero pressure and my migraine treatment also had zero pressure, i basically spent $150 to have my skin rubbed lightly for an hour. The manager or owner did call me after I expressed my concerns and was very apologetic, but I was surprised that I wasn’t offered a refund or partial refund after she confessed to me that tiger balm (basically icy hot) was accidentally rubbed on my face for a half hour causing extreme burning. i was offered a free 30 minute service but after my experience and the severe migraine I left with, I unfortunately turned that offer down. I would’ve much rather been offered a refund since she admitted my experience was pretty bad and not acceptable but I do appreciate her reaching out. Edit after response from owner: Over the phone she literally told me she talked to the therapist who worked on me and asked her what could’ve caused my face to burn, and then proceeded to tell me they used tiger balm on my back then touched my face before properly washing her hands. She then told me that because of this they are going to do more training and make sure hands are properly cleaned so this never happens to anyone else. She word for word said “I am so sorry that happened, tiger balm can cause skin to burn on the body but the skin on your face is even more sensitive to that so that must have been extremely uncomfortable”. So now she’s acting like that never happened?? She also over the phone agreed that although the migraine massage is light pressure, it still is supposed to have a little more pressure than just hands gliding around my face. My face was burning before I left the spa so the cold weather is not why my face was burning. I was pleased with my conversation over the phone with her but after this response I am extremely unhappy. She completely twisted the story and her public response directly contradicts what she told me privately over the phone to look better for the reviews and changed up the whole narrative from when we talked privately…wow. Changing my review to a 1 star after that…

This spa is the perfect escape from everyday stress. The staff were kind, professional, and made sure every moment was comfortable. My massage was incredibly relaxing and helped ease all my muscle tension. I will definitely return for more sessions. ⭐ 5.

The Swedish massage was amazing! 90 minutes felt like nothing because of how relaxed and comfortable I was. Caitlin was very professional and asked lots of questions to make sure I was comfortable.

Adrianna is so talented and provided me one of the best deep tissue massages I have had! Love the peacefulness of the rooms and the kindness I was greeted with at the front desk.

Today was our first visit, a couples massage for our anniversary. My therapist was great! The ambiance, the scented piles, everything just seemed to work great! My therapist was very attentive My needs, and ensured to apply little pressure to part of my neck where I had an injury a long time ago. I would highly recommend this place, specifically the west side.
