Konikoff Dental Associates Shore Drive

I was on the search for a dentist after living here for a few years, and I am so happy to have found Konikoff Dental. The customer service was stellar, and all of the professionals involved with my visit took my specific concerns seriously, and were meticulous with my cleaning. The office is extremely nice, and I felt relaxed while I was there despite this being my first visit. I left with my teeth looking amazing, as well as all my concerns being addressed. Alex and Tana were wonderful and pleasant. I am happy to have found this practice and look forward to future visits.

I am a new patient at this office. I loved my experience! The receptionists at the front desk are professional and kind. My hygienist was personable, knowledgeable, and gentle. The dentist was thorough and quick. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a good experience at a dental office.

The entire atmosphere is professional, modern, and spotlessly clean. My hygienist was incredibly gentle, thorough, and took the time to explain everything she was doing, making my routine cleaning the most comfortable I've ever had. Following the cleaning, Dr. Carmen Ramirez Sosa, was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely caring. They addressed my concerns with clear, easy-to-understand solutions, never making me feel rushed or pressured. The front office staff is also exceptional: polite, organized, and very helpful with scheduling and navigating my insurance. It’s rare to find a dental practice where every single person on the team is this committed to excellent patient care. This is the Jiffy Lube of dental offices. My husband and I both went in for the first time this past August (2025) and were told we needed services that were not covered by insurance; he was not warned for his service, so ended up going forward with it then having to pay an unexpected bill after. When I was offered the same service by a different hygienist, they did warn insurance usually did not cover it, so I denied the service. But they got me when they told me i needed Xrays, and told me they're usually covered every other year. They said they'd check to be sure. They told me my insurance covered the service - just omitted the fact it is only covered every *5* years and given I had this service 2 years ago, that I'd be charged for it. They would have known this given they had my records. When I contacted the branch (Dec 2025) to figure out why they do this to people, the Senior Manager accused me of yelling at her (I did not), was very shrill with me, kept bringing up the recorded line, which made me laugh because I hadn't done or said anything offensive while trying to state my case. I asked to escalate this to someone else as she was not listening to me, and I was refused as she claimed to be the highest person in the office. It was an incredibly embarrassing conversation. I have to deal with medical and insurance issues on a very regular basis and this was a very simple inquiry that was only met with defiance; no listening, no attempt to understanding. As I told her, I'm not sure if it's because this office is in an affluent area that they're not used to getting push back over a few hundred dollars, but it felt like a total swindle. On the other hand, given how excited she was the minute I brought up my issue, it gave the impression this happens more often than not. There are many dental offices within just a few miles of Konikoff Shore Drive and I implore anyone to choose anyone else.

Rachel always cleans my teeth perfectly. She also gives me good advice on my teeth and areas that need to be watched. I have always had a good experience. The staff is cordial and courteous. Dr. T is awesome. I have been going to Koinkoff on Shore drive for at least 2 decades. Love you guys.
