Coastal Virginia Spine and Pain Center -- COVA

Let me just say, Dr. Spear is unmatched. I was a patient at COVA for about a year, and after more than 20 years in pain management, this office stands out as one of the best I have ever experienced. The level of care, professionalism, and overall patient experience were truly exceptional. It has been a full year since my last visit, and I still felt compelled to come back and leave this review. That alone speaks volumes.

I got stuck with some nerve damage in my shoulder over the holiday break. It hurt so badly and had me immobile most of my break. I couldn’t get in to PT to start because offices were closed. I called back and Dr.Spear got me in to get injections anyway so I can make it to work on Monday. I truly appreciate the staff and the level of care and service they give to their patients. I see lots of doctors, and it’s really nice to go to one who truly understands patient care.

So far this is a Stellar practice, NP Claire is Awesome. I was referred to the clinic by my previous Doctor and I'm so glad I didn't choose any place else. ✨

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Dr.Spears explains so you can understand whatever he's doing and why. He lets you know where your problem area is. He greets you with his warm smile and doesn't treat you like a number but is patient with addressing all your concerns. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Bonnie Nock did my EMG for carpal tunnel. She is very professional with great bedside manner and very knowledgeable. Runs on time. Front office is great about getting me in ASAP. Office is very clean. Would recommend.
