Knoxville Institute of Dermatology

I was a little nervous about going somewhere new but the staff and doctor was super nice and explained everything so well. And I think they are very thorough. My sister in law and I made our appointments together on the same day and we made a whole day out of it. We would totally recommend!

I have never had to wait long at all and they make you feel very comfortable with whatever area they’re checking. When they do find something it’s always comforting, knowing that they are going to take good care of you either way. They are always nice & Efficient when checking out.

Dr Wright removed a Pilar cyst from the top of my head. His nurse marked it off and gave me the numbing shots. I didn't feel a thing. Everything went well and the cyst came out intact. So no smell mess. Dr. Wright did a great job. I totally recommend Knoxville Institute of Dermatology. The staff is very professional and the office is very nice.

Tried this place based on the reviews.. but unfortunately the vibes and atmosphere just felt very off to me, so I will not be returning. I felt like the doctor could have been more thorough, and he froze a spot that didn't even end up coming off. As far as the staff goes, they didn't seem very professional, especially the girl who was in the room with me and the doctor. She barely spoke two words and just didn't seem like she wanted to be there.

I visited this locations a few years ago and was pleased. The second and most recent visit was not so pleasing. The check in staff are rude and make you want to turn around. Check out staff (on the opposite side of the counter was nice. The Dr. was nice however it was obvious she do not work with people of color much. There was also an intern present who was also nice. For what it’s worth I received the best service that I was capable of getting. The doctor and check out staff gave different information about the cost involving insurance and copay. I paid half the bill and had a balance of a little over $60.00 left. Do to unforeseen circumstances, I did have to pay the balance later than I wanted. I was constantly being contacted and threatened with collection prior to paying the balance. Needless to say I will never return to this provider and will warn people of color about making appointments as well.
