I honestly can’t begin to express how happy I was with my experience at this salon. I came in with permanent color that had turned red, and another salon had already told me my goals weren’t possible. But Hannah—my stylist—rose to the challenge. She was humble enough to seek advice from the owner, and together they created the perfect plan that matched exactly what I was hoping for. What stood out to me even more was the atmosphere of teamwork. How cool is it that the stylists feel safe enough to seek wisdom from their boss, and that the owner encourages it? That kind of trust creates not just beautiful results, but a space where clients truly feel cared for. And Hannah, oh my goodness, was PHENOMENAL! She’s incredibly talented yet has such a kind, humble heart. For reference, I wanted to be a dirty blonde with soft dimension, a natural grow-out, and less of that coppery-red tone, and she absolutely nailed it.

I am very disappointed in the highlights and lack of service that I received from two colorists at Capello Salon and Scalp Longe. I will not be returning after being treated so poorly. I went to get base and highlights/lowlights from the first colorist. The highlights were over processed and poorly placed. It looks like zebra striping instead of looking natural. The first colorist ended up calling me back and she was sweet as pie. I told her that it’s incredibly difficult for me to tell a stylist that I don’t like what they did; it’d be like telling someone their baby is ugly. It hurts to hear anything negative, but I had to say something because the highlights were so bad. I asked for her to apply toner, or something, to minimize it. She said that’d take 5 minutes but she wanted me to see it dry. It still looked bad dry, regardless of the type of lighting. I was expecting the toner to be applied after I made the comments that I didn’t like it. She thought it would be better for me to come back another day, so I guess we both own partial responsibility for the miscommunication. I should have told her again I wanted the toner that day, but I was already really embarrassed for mentioning I didn’t like it. I thought I’d try a different colorist at the same salon for my next appointment that I scheduled 5 weeks later. She is known for specializing in blonde hair so I was hopeful she could fix what’s wrong. When booking with a new colorist at this salon, you book on their site as a new customer & I selected base plus highlights/lowlights. It generically assigned a three hour slot which included time for both a consultation and coloring. It’s important to point out that I didn’t not select three hours; it was automatically assigned by the booking app. Well the blonde expert called me & scolded me for scheduling a 3 hour appointment, implying that I was wasting her time. I told her that THE BOOKING APP automatically booked the time based on the fact that I was a new client for her. She wanted me to go out of my way & drive in 20 minutes (40 round trip) so she could see my hair the following day. I was puzzled because that’s what the consultation time is for when I get my hair colored in 5 weeks. Why did she want me be make a special trip just for her?Really, she just expected me to give up my time during the work week so I didn’t waste her time on the day of my actual consultation & color appointment?!?! That was ridiculously self righteous! Obviously she thought that her time is worth more than my time. I asked if I could send pics instead. She scoffed, but reluctantly agreed. If the salon assigns the times to new client consultations & the colorist doesn’t agree with the minutes the salon assigns, when why doesn’t she bring up her concerns with the salon & fix the root cause of the issue? Instead she thought it was better to inconvenience the customer & waste my time. If the salon or specific colorists expects new customers to make a separate trip to see their hair even though it’s supposed to be included with the new client consultation, then they should say that up front. When the manager saw my review she called & was a bit sassy throwing everything back to me as if it was all my fault. She said of course she will back her staff. All I was looking for was a solution & knowing that she at least cared about improving my experience. She could have said that she will look into the minutes allocated to each colorist for new client appointments. Perhaps more seasoned colorists can complete the consult & color in less time. Surely that would make things easier for the colorist too & allow them to see more people. Better time management would generate more money for both the salon and its employees. I ended up canceling my appointment & finding a new salon. Hopefully the salon will realize that customers care about how they are treated & make some changes. Based on my conversation with the manager, I’m doubtful that would happen.

Capello is the only place I trust to do my hair! I’ve been seeing Chelsea since I was probably 15 or 16 years old (& I’m now 30 😅). Trusted her the first time I ever added color to my hair and trusted her the week of my wedding when I decided to chop all of my hair off. I always have a pleasant experience when I visit Capello. The assistants are amazing and are trained by the best. Everyone there is so sweet. You can’t go wrong no matter who you choose!

I’m new to Greenville and, as all blondes do, i was stressing about finding a new hair stylist who is good with highlighting fine hair. I heard about Natalie from someone who had just been to see her, and I definitely struck gold! Besides her sweet demeanor and excellent “chair-side manner”, her skill and attention to detail is what i was most impressed with. She listened to what i liked and didn’t like about my hair, and then she whipped together her magic cocktail of blonde and went to work. She patiently waited while my hair was slow to lift, and she never made me feel like she was in a rush. My hair came out so natural, soft and shiny! Not at all like it was just bleached. 10/10!

First time visiting Capello Salon yesterday. I am so happy I have found my new salon “home”! Excellent experience. I was greeted professionally and taken to Heather, for my appointment. Heather, took the time to listen to me and then worked her color magic. Heather is an experienced professional, and is passionate about making her clients feel beautiful. I left yesterday glowing! I highly recommend. Thank you to Heather and Capello salon downtown. Plenty of parking in back.
