Cosmetic and Family Dentistry Gardner Wade DDS, LLC

I am someome who has had a bad experience with getting dental work in the past, which has made me not go (I know I should be going), but I got an abcess last week and the meds prescribed at urgent care didn't work, so I was forced to find a dentist that could take me same day becausei know an abcess is nothing to play with. I called Dr. Gardner Wade's office and the receptionist was so friendly and accommodating and they got me in the same day. I ended up having a root canal done while I was there and although I was terrified and didn't expect to be getting anything done same day, the staff and Dr.Wade were very understanding and helped to ease my anxiety. Dr.Wade was wonderful and very thorough, I had the procedure yesterday and today I am feeling better and it definitely wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I will definitely be going back to finish my treatment plan and I also plan to be using him as my dentist from now on for routine exams, cleanings, etc. If you are looking for a dental office that is clean, professional, welcoming, and has nice employees and a great dentist, I definitely recommend giving them a try!

Today was my first time going & I am glad I went. Dr. Wade is nice & talks to you about all of your payment options such as private insurance , cash, care credit, etc. My mom referred me here because of my bad toothache pain I experienced night before. Prices are reasonable. I drove nearly 1 hr & 30 minutes & I am grateful I did! Besides how many great dentists are opened on Saturday???

Yesterday on Dec 27 I (37f) was in an extreme amount of and I have a high pain tolerance. So after being awake to 24 hours in pain and nothing was helping I called a bunch of places hoping to find someone open. And luckily I found Dr Wade. We arrived around 11:30-12 and yes there was a wait to be seen. After getting my X-rays done Dr Wade gave me my opinions after my insurance cost. Luckily I have a great family and support system and was able to come up with the money, I also have very high anxiety when it comes to dental work and offices. He gave me some scripts to fill so I could go fill them and proceed with the appointment. While I had 2 people in front of me that needed work done as well. I had a cleaning, while I waited but had a small anxiety attack so they postponed the deep cleaning for another day. Then I had my emergency root canal and temp cap of my tooth. This is where I had a major anxiety attack I couldn’t breathe was shaking and they pulled my mom in from the front to help calm me down. They were so patient with me and my condition they didn’t just pass over it like it was nothing. They wanted me comfortable and at peace to proceed. After my attack had subsided and they numbed me all up. I got my tooth fixed and I was the last person there. This man and staff stayed until well after 11 o'clock at night and fixed my tooth, gave me peace of mind, and handled my HUGE ANXIETY ATTACK! You name me a grown man and staff that is willing to do that on a Saturday and mind you just 2 days after Christmas. Thank you so much Dr Wade for your help and doing a great work. Was I there for well over 8 hrs YES, would I have changed a single thing they did, NOO I WOULDN'T HAVE! I’m home resting with my family and beside some mild discomfort from nerve pain (my own doing from waiting to long) I can’t thank this office and personal enough. giving 2 stars because the front desk staff was friendly and they fit me in on a saturday 20 mins before close, but they assured me the dentist was more than willing and does this all the time to squeeze patients in. “He never turns anyone down, unless it’s after 5 pm.” I finally got scared enough by the extreme pain i was in to search for emergency dentists. i didn’t even know if that was a thing. i called to ask if they were open and could take me… They said yes come in right away no questions asked except for my first name. If you know exactly what is going on and what you need to have done, this place is acceptable. If you are looking for the dentist to be compassionate and friendly, and help you with a diagnosis. This is not the place whatsoever. Not a comforting experience. The dentist was pretty cold and to the point in a not good way. Very rushed, the vibe was very off. His whole demeanor was honestly rude. He made me feel more afraid, and I am already a little afraid of dentist visits. Especially in the state i was in. He did not properly diagnose the problem i had. Said i had a cavity between the teeth and an abscess. Quoted me $3,500 for a root canal on the wrong tooth. Or said he could pull it. The tooth he “diagnosed” was not the tooth with the issue. Nor was there even a cavity there… So if I would have said yes let’s take care of it, I would be without a healthy tooth for no reason. He would have taken a healthy tooth and not helped my issue whatsoever, just made it worse. it was $240 nearly for the “visit” and x-ray and he wrote me a prescription for ibuprofen and a antibiotic, which i was thankful for. moral of the story, do not come here expecting a gentle, thorough, and kind treatment from the dentist. Go here if you know exactly your issue and are okay with prompt treatment and YOU KNOW what is going on. I ended up going to my regular dentist that monday who then referred me to a root canal specialist since it happened to be a tooth i had a root canal done on not even 3 years ago that has failed and developed 2 abscesses in each root of the tooth. thank god i didn’t not pull a tooth that was perfectly healthy & then stayed with a huge abscess in my mouth!!!!

When one (being me) drives 3 hours one way to see a dentist speaks volume. I was desperate on a weekend of being in pain from tooth that had broken off even with my gum line. I had went to a dental office in Alexandria and the price of $1100.00 that they wanted to extract it was just a kinda bit out of my range for 1....ONE tooth. I got on Google and asked God to please let me find a dentist that could see me on a Saturday and didnt want to charge me a kidney, lung and half of my liver to have it pulled. And just like that I found Dr Wade. Been to him for more dental work and even got my hubby to go see him. We are very pleased with him and his amazing staff. So I dont mind the road trip to BR to see him because we know we will be taken care of when we leave from there. Never been fond of a dentist appointment in my life but somehow him & his staff don't make it seem so bad. 👍
