Louisiana Dermatology Associates

After our first appointment, 11 months ago, a LOT has changed unfortunately! FIRST REVIEW: We visited for our first time yesterday and saw Dr. Ira Thorla. The apt was for my 14 year old son who suffers with acne and some warts. Dr. Thora was very thorough and listened to my son and I. He gave options and the best treatment recommendations for my son. I will definitely be back and would recommend to him and this office. UPDATED & CURRENT REVIEW: We now see Dr. Hebert, no fault with Dr. Thora, but simply due to scheduling times needed. We absolutely LOVE her and her nursing staff. Unfortunately though, over the past 3 to 7 months if not more, I have had to contact the Louisiana Dermatology Associates for different things like: -my son has been prescribed something and it needed a prior authorization from doctor and they couldn't get a response from doctors office -the pharmacy price was incredibly high for a perscribed medication and I needed to speak with the doctor or nurse for another drug option or different dosage to assist with the overall cost - Just as a parent, I'd call with questions about how he was to take something that was new and called in or anything else I may have had questions about. etc. etc. Look, I am not someone that pesters or calls for no reason at all, but it has been INCREDIBLY frustrating to call a doctor's office, be forced to leave a message with the front desk or a call center, to NEVER EVER get called back. To explain even further, there was not 1, not 2, but THREE times, I've called on my son's behalf with questions and had to call MULTIPLE times, giving atleast 48 hrs in between for a returned call and STILL never got a response and forced to only get an answer when our next appointment came up (which was 9 out of 10 times, too late). I have also emailed the front office and never gotten responses. We left BR Clinic dermatology, due to getting random surprise charges here and there from a doctor when she would communicate with us through the mychart email system. While we love the doctors and the amazing nursing staff at LA Derm, if a doctors office can not get messages to the doctors and nurses and return calls to patients in a timely manner and nothing changes soon, we will unfortunately have to look at other options for dermatologist.

Dr. Kristen Hebert is an exceptional dermatologist. She is knowledgeable,and truly takes the time to listen to her patients’ concerns. She explained to me about my daughter's treatment options clearly and made me feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. Her staff is also friendly and professional, which made the entire visit a great experience. I highly recommend Dr. Hebert to anyone looking for expert and compassionate dermatologic care.

Dr. Dickerson is always very understanding and sweet and also very professional and honest. I have been going to her 10 yrs. She and her staff always make Me feel very comfortable. I send all my customers to her.

Facility is very clean. I didn’t have to wait long to see the doctor. It was my first time seeing Dr. Hebert. She was very knowledgeable and polite. She made me feel very comfortable talking to her about my condition.

I absolutely LOVE LA Derm! They are the best!!! I’ve been with them for a while now & I'm NEVER disappointed. They’re fast, efficient, & their bedside manners are 💯! Dr. Rhuebottom is PHENOMENAL! I’m sure the other doctors there are awesome as well! LA Dermatology, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Don’t change a thing. T. Michang💝
