I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The whole team from the owner on down are spectacular. Extremely trans-friendly. The owner, Avie, is willing to work with transgender clients and their insurance companies to attempt to get hair removal procedures covered despite electrolysis being considered "cosmetic." He sat on the phone with me for two hours (and a few hours before that) battling with my insurance company to get an authorization submitted and even attempted to acquire contact information within the company to ease future approvals for other clients, which I felt was extraordinarily kind and forward-thinking. The staff are very open and honest about what clients can expect from the procedures and have an earnest passion and sincere desire to help their patients. I've been working primarily with Rosalyn, who is a very experienced electrologist and extremely knowledgeable about her field and seeks to ensure my comfort and safety in every session. If you want hair removal done right, Mishael's is the place to go!

I very rarely leave reviews, but I just have to share how amazing my experience has been in hopes that it may help someone else! I have struggled with PCOS hair growth for the past ~5 years. I have spent thousands of dollars, so much time and so many tears on YEARS worth of laser hair removal treatments all over my body (never on my face). I never had a problem with facial hair growth until a few years ago, and I went to an electrologist who was not performing the procedure properly and my hair continued to get worse. I felt like my skin was ruined and I had no hope for ever getting rid of my facial hair. That was until I met Taydra at Mishael’s Electrolysis Center! She has seriously changed my life. When I started coming for treatments at the beginning of this year, my mental health and confidence were in such a bad place, but she has brought me back to life! From day one she has been honest, trustworthy, made me feel comfortable, and does a fantastic job. My progress has been amazing! I’ve even started to get treatments on other areas and have been so happy with my results. It’s not a quick process, but it’s possible to feel better, and it’s so worth it! I had electrolysis for 10 months with another provider, going twice a month, and saw no results, my hair kept growing back fully. I finally tried Mishael’s, and the difference is night and day. After just one hour with Rose, the hair hasn’t come back. The pain was also about 50% less than what I experienced before. I know I will need more treatments, but before the hair would start growing back in about 4-5 days. That is not happening this time. Rose is incredibly skilled, hilarious, and made the experience so comfortable. I’m extremely grateful to the entire staff for their professionalism and mastery of their craft. While I can’t get back the time or money I spent elsewhere, I’m relieved to finally see real results. I highly recommend Mishael’s, especially for African Americans. If you’re not seeing results, don’t keep waiting! You might be wasting your money and time. Book here. You won’t regret it!

Since I’ve been coming to this location, I’ve noticed a tremendous change with my facial hair growth in just (2) appointments so far. I love how flexible the staff are with appointment request and how quick the appointments are. I’ve had this procedure done before in a different state and was not seeing much results. Since I’ve been coming here, 70% of my facial hair is gone! I am so happy with services and cannot wait until the hair is completely gone.
