I’ve been a patient here for a few years and was originally prescribed a long-term prescription I have been stable on for over two years. When I recently requested my refill through my pharmacy, they let me know they had to contact the dermatologist’s office for authorization. That was fine. However, nearly two weeks went by without any response. After a week of waiting, I followed up with my pharmacy and was told they had sent the request but had not heard back. I then called the dermatologist’s office directly—twice over two days (Thursday and Friday, during posted business hours)—and left voicemails. I didn’t receive a call back until the following Monday. When they finally returned my call—almost two weeks after the original refill request—I was told I needed to schedule an appointment before they could authorize the refill. I understand that appointments may be required for ongoing prescriptions. What was frustrating is that this was not communicated earlier. Had I been informed promptly, I could have scheduled an appointment sooner and avoided running out of my medication. By the time they contacted me, I had already been without my prescription for over a week. I was offered an early morning appointment the next day, which I couldn’t attend due to work, and a few other times that same week that also conflicted with my full-time schedule. The only alternative was to wait until the beginning of April (it is currently late February), which felt unreasonable given the circumstances. What disappointed me most was the lack of timely communication and empathy. I would have been more than willing to come in sooner had I been told that was required. Instead, the delay in response left me without medication and scrambling to accommodate last-minute appointment options. This experience was frustrating and has made me reconsider whether I should seek care from a practice that handles refill requests with more urgency and clearer communication.

I called to ask about a starting price point for dermal fillers and to see what filler brands are offered. The lady I spoke to did not offer me much help as she was not knowledgeable of the filler brands they use in-house. She also kept telling me that she can not discuss pricing over the phone because I need a consult. However, I have been calling all around town, and so far, everyone else has given me available brands and starting price points per syringe. I tried to clarify that I am just looking for a starting price point, and then she told me that it is $600 to $1,000 per syringe. It felt odd because so far, other dermatology offices and med spas have been very transparent about starting price ranges and brands they offer. I would appreciate a response if possible!

I’ve been with my Nurse Practitioner since I moved here almost 10 years ago. She is great. I get great care from her and it’s fun to catch up. She does a very thorough body scan annually. It’s almost more of a social visit combined with a medical review. She got my ointment ordered and I’m good for another year, and I know if something comes up, she’s there for me. The entire team is great at the Post Rosd location.

Dr Mehta is extremely thorough when conducting my yearly skin check. I’ve had yearly checks done in various cities where I lived but never had one so comprehensive. I would highly recommend her!
