Timber Dental East Burnside

Just moved to Portland and got established with a new Dentist here. Loved the clinic, very friendly and professional staff! Rose was amazing and explained everything very thoughtfully and was super efficient. They took lots of imaging and the dentist was very thorough and honest with his review, made a plan immediately, and got referrals written up right away. My work schedule is a little weird and they were super polite and happy to accommodate for my cleaning appointment!

I had a lovely experience here. Melissa really took the time to make sure I was comfortable and well informed regarding each step of my new patient appointment. They were able to accommodate a same-day cavity filling and schedule me for a cleaning within two days. Dr. Nguyen was also very kind and made me feel at ease. As a team they were thorough and professional. P.S. It was really comforting being able to watch a baby animal documentary during my filling, thank you!

I cracked a tooth at night and they were able to schedule me next day. Dr. Nguyen explained very clearly what options I had, talked me through next steps and helped lay out a treatment plan. The hygienist Reina was also very friendly, professional, and worked quickly and efficiently. They were up front about billing and got consent at each step before moving on. Overall A+ experience, they helped me through a scary issue and I left feeling much better!

Excellent choice if you have a history of dental trauma (background: I experienced a lot of dental work in my childhood and preteens with a few anesthesia mishaps and shaming over pain/cavities/braces). Dr Nguyen was kind, efficient, and thorough in her explanations of care. Melissa and Jamie were equally attentive and gentle; I really felt like everyone was there because they care about dental and patient health. They ask on the intake form about level of nerves, which they demonstrated sensitivity to at all stages of the visit.. Even though I was scheduled for just an initial exam (bitewings/xrays, dental habits, plan of care, etc), they were able to fit in my first cleaning round immediately! There's a parking garage, which is such a plus given the area (street parking would've been a nightmare). Appreciate they have Netflix to help with distraction. Overall, I had a great experience. Incredible experience with my same day emergency root canal. Dr Afshar & Rose took excellent care of me during some of the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. Dr. Afshar was professional, transparent & made me feel at ease. The staff & energy at Timber Dental on Sandy was the best experience I’ve had at a dental office and I’m happy to be a new client!
