This place was truly bizarre; this was the first warning sign I missed. The massage technique was also awkward. She would find a nodule on my back and rub it vigorously instead of massaging the area around it to relax it, as is usually done. I like deep tissue massage, but this was completely ineffective and only caused me pain. Not to mention how carelessly she covered my body. I'm sure she saw everything. I would absolutely not recommend this place. Oh, and by the way, they were extremely pushy about tipping. Although I've never refused to tip before, this time I felt really uncomfortable giving one.

Very professional and knowledgeable about muscularity. They can focus and see where tightness may be. Intuitive and experienced. Nice to be with people that care about wellness

I had an extremely relaxing and healing massage with Wendy yesterday. I’ve had a debilitating painful stiff neck and shoulder for days. She worked deep into the tissue. It was painful at times, but so necessary. And she sandwiches any discomfort with extremely relaxing, skilled, and strong massage. Additionally, her bedside manner was respectful and so kind. I appreciated that she let me turn my mind off and rest as opposed to making too much conversation. Thank you Wendy! I will certainly be back!

Best message I’ve ever had. I forgot the name of the guy who gave me my Swedish massage with hot stones, hot oil, and cupping, but he had the strongest and warmest hands EVER! I also got to pick the scent to my oil. It definitely left me feeling rejuvenate and relaxed, and my sore and tense muscles felt at ease. I found a deal on Groupon for this place and I’m so glad I found it! 5 minutes away from my house, who could ask for more? 10/5 stars for sure. I’ll be recommending all my friends and frankly to this business! Go here! You don’t regret it. :)

Last week, on my morning commute, I noticed a new Asian massage center was opening on Sandy and 72nd in NE Portland. I have travelled extensively in Asia and have found tremendous health benefits from traditional tui na massage techniques. In order to maintain proper health I try to book between 35-50 massages per year which provides me a unique perspective. Unfortunately, due to a lack of proper regulation and credentialing from our corrupt and inept state "government", a lot of the places purporting to provide these services in Portland are substandard and not worth the money. Fortunately, this is not the case at Spring massage. I opted for the traditional 90 minute massage which was reasonably priced at $90. My therapist was a polite, mild mannered Asian gentleman named Charlie. He proceeded to give me one of the best deep tissue massages I have ever had on any continent. He attentively checked in regarding pressure and intuitively knew which areas to focus on. I was amazed at his skill level and work ethic. At the end of the session, I was in an elevated state of consciousness and felt like I had lost 20 pounds from all the released tension. Out of an abundance of gratitude I tipped $45 because I like to take good care of the people who take good care of me. I plan to return as often as I am able. This is my new go to for authentic Asian therapeutic massage and you would be doing yourself a service to try their services if you value your health. It appeared that a female therapist was also available and that facials are also on the menu here. Enjoy!
