Ling's Therapeutic Massage Center

The BEST 60 minute Foot, Head and Hand massage I have ever had!! No joke! I am in town for work and finished early today, but I already hit all the cool shops around downtown walking distance. I found Lings by exploring Google Maps. I saw that I could book online so I did. I didn’t even look at reviews. It’s just 3 blocks from the Benson. The front door is locked, but there’s instructions to buzz in. First impression - the building is old and beautiful but it reeeeks of sewage… it is under construction 8/2024. There is not much of a lobby and the elevator is right there. Take it to floor 2. The building is weird and tight. Claustrophobics won’t be happy in here. Go to the left and follow the hallway. Bathrooms are right around the corner and Lings is 2 doors further in on the right. Ben greeted me and room me to a regular massage room. I expected a big chair with a foot bath, like at the nail salon. Instead he fixed a hot bath for my feet in a bucket and did not leave me in there but 3 minutes. He asked where I wanted him to focus One hour is long to work on just the feet/calves. We decided to add the head/neck and hands/forearms. He dried my feet and had me get on the table. The table is heated and he draped me with a towel although I was fully dressed. You can see bars on the ceiling used for the full body stretch massage. Ben started with my head, second was hands and last were my feet. Each segment longer than the previous. He used hot stones at the end. It was PERFECT! The best “foot” massage I have ever had. Ling is simply the best at what she does! I have done 90-minute sessions with her on a monthly basis for over two years now, and seeing her is always the highlight of my month. Her technique is fantastic, and she is so knowledgeable, kind, and professional. I wish I could give her 10 stars 😊

My friend and I were sore from traveling and were luckily able to book last minute appointments at Ling's. We were greeted by the owner who was very polite and friendly. Kelsey did a great job at loosening up my shoulders and making me feel better overall. My friend said she also had a great experience with the male masseuse she had. If you are looking for a full spa experience with tea, salt rooms, ect... this place may not be for you. However, if you are looking for an awesome massage for a fair price, this place is absolutely for you!

Firstly, I appreciate how accommodating the staff was when my boyfriend informed them he would be late; our therapist kindly stayed late to ensure we could enjoy our sessions together. Finding the studio was a bit of a challenge, as the entrance is quite discreet with just a note on a door amidst the block—some clearer signage would definitely help first-time visitors. The ambiance inside is warm and inviting, a nice setup in an older building. During my massage, there were moments of discomfort when I felt a scratch from the therapist's nails, which could be slightly more trimmed for a smoother experience. Despite this, the mood was generally soothing, and the overall service was commendable. I'm booked for an acupuncture session next Monday and am eager to see how it goes, especially with Ling on vacation. Interestingly, my therapist this time was a white female, which was unexpected just based on the name. I'm so very glad I tried Ling's... After suffering for months with pain in my neck, shoulder and arms, I turned to Chinese medicine for a cure. My massage was easy to schedule... flexible availability and the location is clean and convenient in downtown Portland. I booked a 75 minute Tuina massage with Ling -- within moments on the table, I knew I made the right decision. Ling was incredible. Super strong hangs and intuitive in going right to the source of my pain. This massage is well worth the splurge. I look forward to returning!
