Knot Springs

Was initially gifted a trio here for my birthday but my wife and I have now returned several times. We go for the springs visit and it is always a fantastic experience. We leave feeling fresh and rejuvenated. The staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. Go off hours if you want less people, but they keep things pretty controlled so it anytime works well.

I really had hoped I'd be posting a positive review about this place because I do think it's really cool. We like the vibe, the boutique feel, the Pendleton towels and robes and the pleasant staff. Unfortunately our last experience left a bad taste in my mouth when after I politely brought my issue up with staff, I received no follow up from management (Though I was told they would). That leaves me to conclude that they probably don't care so we will not be returning. You're vulnerable when you go to a spa and it's not the least expensive form of wellness you can engage in. If they can't meet the low bar of making everyone feel safe, they no longer deserve our business. My wife loves massages and spas so I was excited when my research lead me to Knot Springs. This was the 2nd Valentine's Day couples massage we'd experienced in as many years and we were both looking forward to it. Last year we had 2 women masseuses, this year we had a man and a woman. The man that gave my wife her massage, I later learned touched her inappropriately if not overtly on a handful of moments throughout her massage. This made her uncomfortable (the opposite of what you want from a $200+ massage) and really tainted what was otherwise a great day. Listening to my wife's account of her experience really, really pissed me off. She's kind to a fault and a part of me wanted to crash out on everyone at your establishment but I'm older and wiser and instead won't be returning. I only ask that you prioritize making your future customers feel safe and when they tell you about an incident, investigating it internally or, let's be honest, not at all is a bad business practice. Have a day.

I went with my sister while she was visiting with her boyfriend in town and they were impressed by the spa and varying pool temperatures. It was incredibly relaxing and I wish we could have stayed a bit longer but they had a plane to catch! The staff was super kind and accommodating and allowed us to put the luggage in a sectioned off area. Towels, body wash, shampoo and slippers are provided. The outdoor deck was really beautiful and provided a clear view of Portland. I will certainly be returning🧖🏼‍♀️

46th Finnish sauna review: (this review is only about the sauna) while a lovely facility, the sauna leaves a lot to be desired. While well heated with 2 Harvia heaters, with the huge amount of glass and people coming and going it never really feels hot in there. Coupled that with the benches being low - cold legs, not following law of löyly, the experience was pretty average. The heaters are lacking rocks, and seem to be about 1/4 empty with coils visible fairly strongly. As a result the löyly (bucket and ladle provided) hits incredibly sharply when it eventually hits from the ceiling. Limited lämpömassa as a result of missing rocks coupled with constant coming and going. Cold plunge was great - guessing around 37f. Included teas were nice (one overly watery, the other was cold). While a great facility, the sauna was a let down. Especially for the premium price charged.

The spring has three nice sized pools: hot, luke warm, and a cold plunge. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They aren't a big facility, so busy times can feel a bit crowded. My wife and I also had massages while we visited, and we left nice and relaxed. I would definitely go again.
