Signature Tattoo

Saturday was my 6th tat with Mark Heggie. He is an artist extraordinaire. Mark always has the absolute perfect approach and creates the most incredible designs in response to my requests. Many folks are not aware of his history as a painter in addition to his custom tattoo designs. Signature is a warm and friendly place where I feel 100% comfortable chatting with all the artists each time I come in for a new tat. They are so friendly and make you feel part of the conversation - even if you are an old lady like me. I would 100% recommend this shop. Love you all, Margaret

I experienced the most devastating loss of my 22 year old son in June. I wanted to get a tattoo to honor him, and I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo that Heath did for me. It’s beautiful and is exactly what I wanted. Heath thank you for making a time in my life a little easier. The day I got my tattoo was my son’s birthday and your professionalism, kindness, and all around understanding was more than I could have asked for. Heath thank you! Also thank you to the rest of the artists that were there that day. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! I will be coming back! Hands down the best experience ever!

I could sit here and write a small novel on why this place is so amazing! However I’ll try my best to summarize. The decor, the atmosphere and the general great vibes you get when greeted at the door while are amazing they pales in comparison to the amazingly talented artist that work here. Most my experience has been with Mark (the owner) the dude is one of a kind. The creativity and insight this man has is next level. I flew from Tampa Florida to have him cover up a tattoo I got years ago. If you’re in Michigan and in need of a tattoo I strongly urge you to go to signature!

My sister and I took my 80 year old mom to Signature to get her first tattoo. Mark treated her like she was his own mom. She is beyond thrilled with her new ink and the new permanent reminder of my dad. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I've been a client of Mark Heggie for close to a decade and continue to pay him my hard earned money to draw all over my arms because he is the best! He always gives 100% to my design ideas and researches the anatomy of all the creatures I ask him to design for me, from deep sea creatures to insects. Mark is a dedicated professional and a great artist - my mom and aunt have even been tattooed by Mark and they both love him! Everyone at Signature Tattoo is really welcoming and respectful. I can always expect some good music, conversation, and tattoo art. The shop is always super clean - even the bathroom is immaculate (in more ways than 1!). 5/5 stars, I already have an appointment to go back for more.
