North Hills Family Dental is seriously the sweetest office ever. From the second I walked in, I felt so welcomed and comfortable. The front desk ladies are so kind and just have the best energy. The doctor and hygienist were especially sweet and caring, you can tell they truly care about their patients and what they’re doing. They were so reassuring and made me feel completely comfortable about my teeth, which means a lot because that can be such a vulnerable thing. I left feeling really thankful and just overall at ease. I’m so happy I found them 🤍

The staff at North Hills Family Dental has changed my life. I've neglected my oral health for way too long. Shame and embarrassment from a different dental practice kept me from dealing with it. I was referred to North Hills Family Dental and from the moment I stepped through their doors, I felt comfortable. Its a complete judgement free zone. Dr. Duah was kind and sensitive. They set me up on a great plan to get my oral health back on track. April did my deep cleanings and she's FANTASTIC. She was gentle and quick! The staff there answered all my questions, were quick to get me in and started on my journey. I still have a few appointments to go to get totally back on track but Ill never go anywhere else again. I no longer feel ashamed or embarrassed because of my mouth and its honestly life changing! I'm so grateful!

Where do I start my comments? North Hills Family Dental has given me the utmost care. Starting with Katie at the front desk, there staff is incredible with customer service, communication and helping the patient with billing. Excellent!! I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Duah as my dentist. Without taking any talent away from the other dentists, she is amazing. She made a special visit on her day off to have me come into the office for a complication with my filling. And the complication was not her fault, but mine. Dr. Duah and her assistant Callie are absolutely amazing. This duo gets the job done! So personal and pleasant to be around. The bedside manners are out of this world. I cannot begin to express how happy I am with their services. I am so fortunate to have found them and will be with them for the rest of my life. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for me.

I had a horribly painful experience at this office. At first I was able to get a quick appointment for an extraction of a tooth that was very sharp and cutting into my tongue, but then the doctor refused to do the extraction stating I needed to be cleared by my PCP and Cardiologist since I had a heart attack several years ago, even though I am not on any heart medications, accept for low dose aspirin which I have always taken. They took X-rays and she noticed that I had an infection but she said that I did not need antibiotics. I told her that I was in great pain because of the tooth cutting into my tongue so she tried smoothing out the tooth a tiny bit to give me some comfort but of course my tongue was already inflamed. She said to take some ibuprofen which didn't help much. Luckily I was able to get a quick appointment with my PCP and a phone in from my cardiologist and scheduled to have extraction the following week. When I arrived they now said that I should get a bone graft also which I had never heard of so naturally I was skeptical of another $400 procedure added on. I was told that it would keep my face from shrinking after the extraction so who wouldn't want that? After pondering over it while in the waiting room and trying to look up this procedure on my phone I finally gave in, thinking that it might be worthwhile. Little did I know that I was in for a very painful tooth extraction with an added bone graft that was done very quickly. $$ After the extraction my mouth was still aching and the dentist said that I still had an infection but she still did not want to give me antibiotics. She wanted me to keep taking ibuprofen stating that the pain should go away in a couple of days. She said that she would also be gone for a couple weeks but I could call the office if there were any problems. I followed all of the instructions given to me by the doctor and even fasted all day as not to contaminate the area that was worked on. I wanted it to heal quickly because the pain was unbearable. After a week the pain was still pretty intense and now another tooth of mine fell out even though I was eating soft food all week long. It was an old crown in the top of my mouth that I had never had a problem with. I did not want to go back to North Hills Dental because I was concerned with their lack of care and knowledge so I called up my old dentist who was able to get me in right away. He replaced my crown that had fallen out and said that the doctor who did my extraction with the bone graft did not complete the job. He said I should have been prescribed antibiotics especially after knowing that there was an infection and that I had developed a dry socket which was causing all of the pain despite all of the extra care I was taking to protect that side of my mouth. I don't smoke or drink and really try to eat a healthy diet. So why was a simple tooth extraction such a problem? I've already had several out before but never had this much pain and delay for proper treatment.

Parking lot is almost completely reserved for employees. You have to park at the end of the empty parking lot by the dumpsters where there is no reservation. Went for a cleaning, all they did was take x-rays and pictures with expensive looking equipment I've never seen in a dentist's office before and then they tried to sell me on a lot of expensive procedures that they "feel" that I need. When I asked for them to actually clean my teeth they refused stating it would be done later by others. I told them I wasn't going to go to their recommended places, that I was here for a cleaning today, and they just shrugged. Awful business practice. I went to Dr. Speck in Houston for years and never had any issues. She stabilized my mouth and I had no further bone loss. But because I've had bone loss in the past, North Hills Family Dental puts you on a "plan" just like Aspen Dental does.
